First, I just wanted to say that I’m a visual person: I love graphics, I love pictures, I love movies. I see art, literally, everywhere! The Buddha you see to the right was a bronze statue at my good friend’s house (thanks, Carol!) and I had to mess around with it. (Click here to see the original.)
A Visual and Aural Feast, Indeed. So when I saw some amazing pictures from a Russian photographer earlier today (below), I had to share them. They’re absolutely brilliant. I also love music, and because I think the two senses go so well together, I’m doing something a little different with today’s Daily Grateful. Instead of a video, or static image or quote, I thought: let’s show some amazing artwork/photography by Elena Shumilova, along with what I think is the perfect soundtrack from Tom Day.
Take in the Good. Enjoy the amazing pictures, as you listen to uplifting amazing “soundtrack-to-your-life” music from the talented Australian musician Tom Day (you can find more amazing music from Tom at his sound cloud site and here’s his website, http://www.tomday.me/). I hope you enjoy both–all part of “taking in the good.”
Tom Day: Amazing Australian Musician. Below you’ll find the music of Tom Day–go ahead, click on play; I think you’ll be glad you did.
A Mother. A Camera. Critters. Russian Farmland. I give you some of the most arresting imagery I’ve seen in a long time, by the amazing Russian photographer and mother, Elena Shumilova (click here for her website).
